IF - Capable

This week's Illustration Friday topic is "Capable."  Capable reminds me of a previous illustration I did about the Zodiac.  Capricorns are known to be very responsible and are hard workers - and as you can see above, this capricorn is fully capable of getting the job done!

I'm having an "off" week.  I'm in a funky mood - it happens, I'm not perfect.  But I have to say that this clip lifts my spirits every time I watch it -  so I had to share...

Stuff I Like: Paris vs. New York

My two favorite cities side by side!  I recently bought the book, Paris vs. New York: A Tally of Two Cities by art director and graphic designer Vahram Muratyan.  I am in awe of his designs and love his concepts.  With every page I turn, I laugh...I sigh...I shout aloud - 'it's true! c'est vrai, it's true!'  Fellow Francophiles know what I mean.  Here are some of my personal favorites...

Stuff I Like, no, LOVE: The Work of Jordi Labanda

I absolutely adore the work of Spanish illustrator Jordi Labanda.  I came across his illustrations years ago when I was traveling through Europe and have been in love ever since.  I think it's fair to say that for me, Labanda was a major influence and a huge inspiration.  I love his subject matter.  He truly captures the life of the party.  Whenever I see his work on notepads or gift cards, I sigh and long to be one of the pretty girls in his pictures, dripping in diamonds...studded in sparkles...sipping champagne on a yacht... {sigh!}
