Kanye West is the third illustration for Grammy Week.
The idea of putting Kanye on a coin came from the Renaissance Portrait exhibition I saw at the Met a couple of weeks ago. In Italy, it was common for wealthy citizens be portrayed on coins, be painted in profile and to capture them as being arrogant - even if they weren't in real life. These were all the things that came to mind when illustrating Kanye...well the Renaissance and this video. Enjoy!
